I recently read a statistic that 42% of college graduates never read a book after college.
I mentioned this in one of my previous blogs. Growth has to be a top priority if you’re going to experience any level of success. If there is one habit you need to create, it’s this.
Studies have also shown that you’re most effective first thing in the morning. That’s why I start my day with my growth/inspiration lesson. I learned to do these three things from John C. Maxwell, and it’s worked for me. I wake up, shower, get dressed, read for at least 30 minutes, then sit at my computer and write (most recently focused on this blog). For me, this gets the creative juices flowing first thing and really sets the pace for the rest of the day.
Starting your day with a positive and creative thinking is something simple that you can do that will have an enormous impact on your daily life.
Every morning, we decide how the rest of the day is going to play out. We make a decision that puts our emotions into motion. “Waking up on the wrong side of the bed” is 100% a decision we make for ourselves.
Read. Think. Grow. Every day.
