I have a friend that, I would have sworn to you, everything he touched turned to AT LEAST gold! For years, I told him he was the luckiest person I know, and I truly believed it.

I’ve spent the last several years studying success and what it’s takes to become “successful.”

I was working my way though Napoleon Hill’s book, “Think and Grow Rich,” one night and it struck me. How foolish of me to simply dismiss his successes as luck! Not only was he not simply “lucky” but I wasn’t “unlucky.” As Napoleon Hill explains:

“One of the weaknesses of mankind is the average man’s familiarity with the word ‘impossible.’ He knows all the things which cannot be done.”

I wasn’t unlucky, I just spent too much of my time trying to rationalize why I couldn’t do something, while he spent his time seeing what he COULD accomplish! Napoleon Hill explains:

“Success comes to those who become success conscious.

Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become failure conscious.”

See, success is simply a state of mind, just as failure is a state of mind. Success is sitting just on the other side of the idea that “I can’t.” Success is one step beyond the idea that it’s impossible. It requires a transformation in our belief system!

We must become “success conscious” until the desire for success drives us to create the thought process and belief system to obtain it!

The big secret to life is that there is no secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you’re willing to work.” ~Oprah Winfrey

Would you categorize yourself as “success conscious” or “failure conscious” up until now?

What are you willing to do about it?
